This past weekend, I decided to make the trip to Rhinebeck, New York for the Country Living Fair. As my in-laws live three hours away from my home on Cape Cod, this was the perfect place to make for a home base with the family. Rhinebeck is only about an hour and a half drive from where they live. It made for a perfect day trip. I woke up early this past Saturday morning and arrived early enough to take advantage of the early bird admission. I ended up with lots of goodies. I saw old friends and made some new ones. I must say that I have never in my life attended an event where everyone was so incredibly nice. From the vendors to the patrons like me, I saw well-behaved children, polite manners, considerate folks, and helpful strangers. It felt really good to be in their company.
I was able to reconnect with Cooper Boone. It was as if we picked up where we never left off!
I meet Josh and Brent, The Beekman Boys. I must say I just adore these two. Following their journey has been amazing and they are a huge inspiration to me.
I also reconnected with Sarah Gray Miller, the editor of Country Living Magazine. I wanted to thank her and her staff for all of the windows and doors that opened for me after winning their Blue Ribbon Blogger Award two years ago.
So what did I bring home? Here are my favorites!
