A new edition of The Chicken Health Handbook is out and I am so thrilled to see it. Gail Damerow’s first edition was excellent, but after seeing this one, I am thrilled beyond belief. This second edition has expanded, added new topics, updated original topics, and now comes with beautiful illustrations and photos to help explain even the most difficult topic. I field plenty of questions about chicken health and this book has now made it easier. It is a pleasure to share this book with backyard chicken keepers and I will definitely recommend it for every backyard chicken keeper’s library. The book has something for old and new chicken keepers alike and I love that we can constantly learn from one another to keep our flock happy and healthy.
I am super excited that two of you lucky peeps are going to win a copy of your very own! So click on the Rafflecopter link (They help run the giveaways for me) below to enter and good luck! I know you are going to love this book.
In the meantime, if you’d like to purchase a copy for you or a friend, it is available here.

It would be a great addition to my library and a nice resource to have on hand.
So glad Gail did an update! I would love to win this for a friend as I preordered mine from Amazon and have it already!
Would love to have this book!!
I would read it and pass it on to my niece.
I would keep it and recommend it to my friends and family.
Would love to have this book, it would be a great reference!
I would keep it, as we have 25 brand new chicks and I’m a first time chick mom <3
I would give it to a friend that is embarking on a new chicken journey this spring! 🙂
We would keep it! The kids and I are new to chicken keeping – about 9 months in and I can see this being super helpful! Chickens are so fun!
I would keep it. I feel so hand tied with my chickens and never know if the new cough etc. is something I should be worried about. I do all I can to keep them healthy but I would still like the reference to keep in my library for when I should need it. Right now I have been using your blog for my reference.
I’m so glad you are finding the blog helpful. I’ve got quite a bit of info on chickens that I have been writing and compiling since 2010.
I’ve heard nothing but great things about this book! Of course since it’s by Gail Damerow, it must be good! I’d love to add this to my chicken library!
I would give it to my mom because she has lots of chickens!
I am new to the chicken world. I have buff and lavender orpingtons. So this would be great to have in my library.
