  1. That is so true. We treat our dog and cat like they're really our kids. Our daughter can't believe we can leave our cat out in back yard with our chickens and he doesn't do anything to them. In fact the chickens go up to him and try to peck him. I love watching chickens and our furry kids. You can learn so much from them. To me it's wonderful they all get along (most of the time) and mind their own business. Every once in while our dog (black lab/border collie) thinks he has to herd the chickens. Later they'll go up to him and peck him. The polish chicken follows him around all the time. Even found her lying next to him in yard. She feels safe from other bullying chickens with him I guess.
    I'm going to pin this so I can print it out later on. Happy season
