The kids’ table. For some, this is a dreaded place to be on Thanksgiving. In some families, it’s a right of passage to finally “graduate” to the adult table, where things always seem so much more exciting! This year, I decided to make the day a little sweeter for the kiddos by creating these entirely edible Turkey in the Straw place settings.
As I was shopping for the Thanksgiving dinner, I came across these chocolate turkeys. My gears started turning. I picked up some waffle cone cups. These would make perfect nests. Next, I hopped on over to the Asian section of the grocery store and picked up some rice noodles. They would make the perfect bedding for these turkeys.
To each waffle cone cup, I added the dried noodles, some pumpkin and corn candies, and topped it off with turkey.
I wonder if they’ll let me sit at the kids table this year?

So clever…makes ME want to be at the kids' table!
Cute idea…going out today to see if I can find everything. I plan on making them for my 8 grandchildren who will be celebrating Thanksgiving with us. Happy Thanksgiving!
