How to Make a Garden Windsock

June 27, 2014
I love windsocks in the garden. For this fourth of July I was inspired to create firecracker inspired windsocks that would dance and play in the wind during our holiday family cookout.
Nylon material, polyester cording, ribbons, and felt stars kept the supply list to a minimum.

I found these pre-made felt stars at my local sewing shop but you could definitely cut out your own and glue them in place with some fabric glue. Each windsock took about 30 minutes to make and only requires you to be able to sew in a straight line.

The ribbons add the real spark to these windsock firecrackers.
I can just imagine them zooming up into the sky!
