Giveaway: Windy Willow Homestead

June 30, 2014
If you’ve been following Tilly’s Nest for a while, you know that I love supporting small businesses. Nicole from The Windy Willow Homestead recently reached out to me. She sent me a lovely egg basket and some wonderful homemade soaps. When I first opened the box, the scents that wafted through the tissue paper made me stop, take a deep breath, and enjoy. It was like a little bit of heaven on a very busy day. The soaps smelled delightful.

I love collecting baskets for eggs and this beautiful coiled fabric basket is the perfect solution for when the kids go to collect the eggs. Sometimes, the kids are in a competition to collect the most eggs and all too often we end up with a cracked egg or two. I am happy to share that for the past few weeks I have been sending the kids out with this basket and we have not had an oops since!

Nicole’s soaps are simply lovely. I love the touch of whimsy with the “Eggcellent” soap and the lather is nice. My skin is soft and they are non-drying. We definitely all feel a bit pampered around here, especially after a long day in the garden by the coffee scrub bar.
As we welcome Windy Willow Homestead to our blog as a sponsor, Nicole has generously offered a giveaway valued at $50 to our readers.
Here is what you can win:

~This coiled fabric egg basket measuring that can easily hold and transport 10 to 14 eggs. It comes with reversible and removable handle covers and  has a turquoise blue rhinestone button accent. It measures 4 ¾ inches tall, 10 inches across the top, 3 ½ inches across the base.

~A matching coiled fabric mug rug. This is the perfect coaster for your morning cup of coffee or iced tea after working outside in the gardens. Measures 6 inches across.

~3 Cold Processed Bars of Homemade Soap

  • “Eggcellent” Apple Mango Tango: For the true poultry lover this bar of soap has an egg shape in the center. This soap is scented with McIntosh apples, pears, and white roses with middle notes of freshly sliced mango, fresh greenery, and tiger lily; with a floral musk base.
  • Coffee Scrub: This fragrance-free soap is made with coffee grounds to help eliminate grime and nasty scents from your hands. This soap contains french vanilla coffee grounds so there may be a slight scent of vanilla.
  • Rain Barrel: This fragrance is a combination of fresh watery tones, crisp ozone and highlights of lemon. Leafy greens balance with lavender and warm cedar wood for the fragrance heart. Sensuous amber undertones and clear musky elements. This is a nice clean scent. This soap also has iridescent glitter on top.

These soaps are made from olive oil, organic coconut oil, palm oil, lye, water, sodium lactate. They may also contain: fragrance, essential oils, castor oil, canola oil, organic cocoa butter, organic sunflower oil, mica, iron oxide pigments, oatmeal, kaolin clay, goats milk powder, goat’s milk and cow’s cream.
