A Grapevine Pumpkin

September 11, 2013

This week, I made a grapevine pumpkin. Yes, I know it is still summer, but I cannot resist the temptation of fall in New England. It is teasing me. With each morning, the air is crisper and cooler. The trees are beginning to shed their leaves as they too appear to be anxious to return to their winter slumber.  Pumpkins have yet to arrive at the local farm stands so I had to make do with this beauty. I love how it turned out and I love that it can take me through all the holidays in fall too.

Yes it is hard to believe that it only started out with a few grapevine wreaths from the craft store an a beautiful fallen birch branch found in the woods.
I started by unraveling each wreath.
Head on over to HGTV Gardens for the rest of the step by step instructions.

It does still feel like summer, but October is only a few weeks away… Time seems to go faster each year…
Thanks for hosting! Have a great week. 🙂
