Natural Mosquito Repellent Bundles

Fresh dry herbs ready for bundling

We have been harvesting and drying herbs here. One of my favorite things that we enjoy making are these natural mosquito repellent bundles aka Bug Bombs. The kids named them. Sage, mint and lavender all naturally repel mosquitoes. We like to gather up these herbs and tie them together. We then add them to the fire to smolder and smoke away those biting pests.

Ready for use or you can dry them too.

In action, the smoldering begins.
Head on over to HGTV Gardens to learn how to make these Mosquito Bombs for your own outdoor space.  They only take a few minutes to make and their aroma is just lovely.

  1. I have been looking for additional tips to repelling mosquitoes naturally because my son is very prone to bites and we do a lot of camping. These mosquito bombs for the fire are a great additive to the chemical free practices we are trying to impose.
