Giveaway: Brite Tap Chicken Waterer

March 25, 2013

Yes, it is true!  We are giving away another Brite Tap Chicken Waterer from our sponsor, ChickenWaterer.com!  Chick season is upon us and this is a great option for those of you who are just getting started.  I cannot think of any other chicken waterer that grows up with your flock as this waterer does!

You can teach your chicks to drink from this waterer from day one.  As they grow, it is simple, all you have to do is raise the height of the waterer.  My flock loves drinking from this waterer and the best part is that the water stays clean all day long.  It is easy to refill and fun to watch the chickens drink from below.  It did not take my adult flock long to learn how to use the waterer.  Who says chickens aren’t smart? Or maybe it is because this waterer is so simple.  Either way, this is a wonderful option for those of us with smaller flocks.  To see more of its great features click here.

Here are some of the benefits of using the BriteTap Chicken Waterer for your flock:

•Complete watering system for as many as 16 chickens.
• Keeps water sparkling clean and hygienic.
• Proximity to water tank prevents chickens from perching on top.
• Set up in less than two minutes. No special tools are needed.
• Insulated cooler keeps water cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
• Clear plastic design & clean out plugs make it easy to access the interior for cleaning.
• Works for baby chicks, chickens, ducks and other small fowl.
• Side mounting position of valves allow you to place waterer on a flat surface.

  1. A Brite Tap would be wonderful for our growing flock! Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  2. Looove it!!! We've found that our Serama babies are lil pigs in the brooder box, making HUGE messes, especially in their water. This waterer would help keep the messes to a minimum! EbieJoC2@aol.com

  3. I have 4 chicks coming may 7th! I think keeping their water clean would be SO EASY with the Brite Tap waterer. Then when they join the rest of my flock, I bet they will all love it!!

  4. Keeping fresh cool water available for the girls is always a problem during the summer months. A Brite Tap would be a great way to ensure the girls always have fresh water!

  5. Nipple watering systems are the easiest way to keep clean fresh water for you home flock. NO more daily cleaning and scrubbing and you can actually leave for a short trip without having to worry about fresh water for the flock.

  6. I just started following your blog a few days ago 🙂 We've been trying to get our coop together in order to get our first ever baby chicks next month! This would help immensely in cutting down the initial start-up costs! Thank you for the chance to own this unique watering system 🙂

ps. Say hi to the Cape for me :)I'm from Orleans originally and miss the ocean terribly!

  7. I NEED a brite tap! I'm in hot hot hot Phoenix, AZ and I think the cooler style of this waterer will help to keep water temps down for my silkies. Their waterers get so hot in the summer, I have to add frozen water bottles to them just to get the water to luke warm. EEEP!

  8. Looks grrreat!! Getting ready to start a small flock at home, currently we just have two chickens (hen and a roo),but want more!! We are hoping to have at least 10-15 chickens. This would be perfect for a starting out flock!! this is from robyn_gilman@yahoo.com

  9. I made a DIY nipple waterer, but this one is so pretty. I would love to have this new one for when I redecorate my coop! It would make things just that much nicer! I love the clean look of it.

  10. I would love the brite-tap-waterer for my chickens! I want to give them the cleanest water I can. They just love to scratch up bedding and throw it in the waterer they use now. Thanks, Dawn frugalfamily@live.com

  11. I just dumped an inch of sludge from my chickens' water bucket. Thanks to our freezing/warming cycle, it's a nasty mess out there! Our heated base isn't working so I've found it's easier just to rotate open buckets and change them out as they freeze or to refresh – whichever happens first. Can't have hoses connected outside yet so I'm carrying frozen poopy/muddy buckets in the house to clean and refill. With this waterer we could carry clean buckets of water outside to refill the waterer! Not sure who would love this more – me who is constantly bleaching the kitchen sink, my kids who help with chicken chores or the chickens!

  12. I have been wanting to try this style of waterer for some time. love that it is insulated. I spend sooo much time once it gets warm changing out or adding ice to their waterers. Thanks for giving one lucky a person a chance to get it free!

  13. We are in the process of finishing our first chicken coop for my 7 year old twin boys! They are so excited to finally be getting chickens after wanting them for a couple years! This waterer would fit perfectly and also look great!

  14. One of these would bed really beneficial for us! I just bought 10 water nipples but this would put anything I make from scratch to shame!

  15. I NEED the Brite Tap for my chickens! My waterer is so confusing you can never tell when the base is open or closed. They will sometimes they go all day with no water if we're not careful to check it (especially after the kids have changed their water). 🙁 Russel and his girls, Missy, Sissy, Prissy, Shelly, Cinnamon, Georgie, Ginny and Caroline would SOOOO appreciate it! suzpclark@gmail.com

  16. I'm tired of trying to keep the water clean in a regular waterer. How great to have no bedding or dirt in water and no spillage of water.

  17. Ohmygosh – What a great watering system. I love watching the chickens play in the water, but they make such a mess of it. This will give them a constantly clean supply of water. LOVE!

  18. this is such a great idea, i'd love it so that my girls always had fresh water. the waterer always seems to get icky within moments of washing it.

  19. This looks awesome….Keeps water nice and clean!!! That seems to be our problem…the water tray gets so nasty!! This is a GREAT Solution!!! Hope I WIN….then I'll buy and Additional one for inside and Outside!!!

  20. Thanks for the opportunity to win this waterer. I am in the process of building a back yard coop and will be in dire need of a waterer exactly like this one before I can get my girls. Again thank you for the consideration. derek_shauna@yahoo.com

  21. My Royals @ Cluckingham Palace would be the richest flock EVER if they had this super cool waterer… it's certainly fit for the QUEENS!

  22. Such a great idea! There's nothing quite like fresh water to drink and I am constantly changing my flocks water since it gets dirty and poopy at times. Hope I win!!!

  23. orpainthorses@yahoo.com What a great idea for a waterer! I would LOVE this waterer so my girls have access to cleaner water! I have 2 "regular" waterers and by the end of the day they are SO dirty! I just hate dumping then out and re-filling them every night and wasteing so much water (5 gallons) I have gotten to the point where I only fill them up to the 2 gallon mark 🙂 I love this waterer and so would my girls! ~~Sandra Baur

  24. We have a seperate chicken coop with two hens that make a huge mess with their water. I hate rinsing out dirt and pine shavings out of their water, I would love this for them! It would make me happier knowing that they always have fresh clean water to help them stay healthy. Thank you for this giveaway!

  25. I think this is a great water.. I could use it.. I hae cancer and it is hard for me to water and this would make it so so much easyer.. and I can keep my chickens longer if I can take care of them..

  26. This looks like such a wonderful system. I have fibromyalgia and a heart condition and this would make chicken keeping so much easier for me. I am determined to care for my flock myself no matter what! I am constantly on the look out for things that make chicken keeping easier and work better for the chickens as well! Since I cannot carry more than 2 gallons at a time, this would be perfect for me. It would also be nice in the winter as I could fill it with hot water and not have to deal with frozen water. I am already subscribed to your blog. Thanks. If I should win, you can email me at ivywood57@yahoo.com.

  27. I'm just getting started with my backyard ladies. I think they would really enjoy drinking from this awesome waterer.

  28. I plan on starting my own little chicken group soon. this would be a great start in the supply department. i used to have a chicken named Peck many many years ago. She would come when you called her. She thought she was one of the dogs. she was beautiful. she lived to be 5 yrs. old. Moonbeam276@yahoo.com

  29. I would love to win this water-er (?) for my mom. She recently retired and is planning her chicken coop for this spring here in Denver. I found your blog while looking up the details for the edible Easter terrarium!

    anna_conley@hotmail.com

  30. I'd love to win this for my girls, because no matter how many times I move their water or how high I raise it, they choose to take a dust bath right next to it!!

  31. This is so cool! I love how it keeps the water clean and cool in hot weather and warm in winter. I am getting ready for my first backyard chickens this year. I found your blog doing some research. The start up costs for a coop, run, and other equipment are brutal. I would love the Brite Tap Combo Pack. Thank you for having this givaway – grafixmuse (at) yahoo.com.

  32. My daughter just went out and got 8 babies this last week-end. This is after her last flock succumbed to the unfortunate discovery by the family dog. It took two tries; my grandson and I nursed the two remaining members of the flock back from their nervous breakdown; they had just started laying again and upon the second break in, the oldest hen and the youngest hen, went to chicken heaven. We still haven't eaten those last two eggs! The grand kids, slower this time to give names, are willing to try again. The fence has been repaired and strengthened; we have moved the dog indoors! We've learned a lot from this last experience; the main thing being "do it right the first time!" This watering system is gonna make my life a lot easier and the (new) chickens will have a cleaner, cooler, drinking experience! Exceptional invention!

  33. My Flock of 4 Hens really need this waterer, they are constantly filling the bottom of their current waterer with straw, and then they can't drink it out! It gets all scummy, yuck!

    My Email is k.peterson@comcast.net

    Thanks!

  34. Grin….I rarely comment on anything. I like to lurk. BUT! This is for my girls! We are new chick owners and all three of us (me, 6yr old daughter, and hubby) are a bit clucky. Who knew one could adore these little creatures so much! My email addy is: aslaudrey@gmail.com

  35. I need this waterer to keep the water cold and fresh for my hens. We live in the desert where the daytime highs reach 120 in the summer and don't go below 100 from June until September.
PS – If I'm lucky enough to win, I'll be away from my computer until early on 4/3.

  36. I would love to use this with my turkeys! My turkeys always seem to the the worst water out of all of my flocks. It would be nice to not have to change their water every 2 days.

  37. What a brilliant idea! I would love one of these for my flock of 6. Living in NC it gets wicked hot in the summer..i will freeze bottles of water and put it in the drinkers. PLUS i have yet to find a chicken water that does not leak or fail for some reason..i have tried several and they all tend to irk me !! Thanks for offering this !! Happy Spring!! xox meme

  38. Actually I'd like to win it to give to my mother. I used to help her take care of our chickens when I lived with them, but now she does it all alone. She does alright, but I'd really like to help her out with something better than the metal pan she uses now. Plus where she is the summers get hot and the winters get very cold. It might help the flock out there, as well. I like to do what I can for them, even though I moved so far away.

    Thank you for the opportunity.

  39. I would love to win this waterer for my Cochin bantams. They are always turning theirs over. It would be great for them to have clean fresh water that they can't turnover and waste. (^V^) My Email is: seashellnc@hotmail.com

  40. I could really use this waterer, I'm so tired of the dirt and grime that ends up in their water now and it has to be changed several times during the day. I think it would make my girls much happier too. You know it's bad when they rush you when they see you carrying the gallon jugs of water!

  41. I have come back from several overnight trips only to find my waterer had been tipped over and to find my girls had NO water! This product would give me such peace of mind!
    Thanks!
    khhallum@att.net

  42. This looks like the coolest watering system! This would make me feel so much better about the quality of our chicken's water and also about having to leave them in the care of others while we are away.

Thanks for giving us a chance to win!

  43. this is the best idea I've ever seen. It would be great here in missouri just enough to keep it from freezing in the winter and cool in the summer. I been trying to come up with a way to keep water to my girls, this would deffinatley do the trick.
    alder1995@aol.com

  44. I've been thinking about switching to this watering system and have been idly thinking about how to DIY it… If I win this, then I would save myself the trouble…LOL!

  45. Good Morning, Tilly's Nest! My flock would love one of these waterers. We are looking to add one to our run for our flock's first summer. My 15 girls love to drink lots of water, so I am constantly filling the one 3 gallon container we have. Thanks for hosting the contest!
