Chickens on the Tree

November 26, 2012

This past weekend, we made our annual pilgrimage to our favorite local store to select a few new ornaments for our Christmas tree.  I am always on the look out for chickens.  This year I found two roosters, a hen and a wonderful honey bee to add to my collection.  I had to just share them with you today.  How do you decorate your tree?

  1. These are BEAUTIFUL!!! I have a set of 3 woodland trees that I decorate with a country theme. Some of my ornaments are homemade. Some were from my family passed down to me. Some are store bought. And some were given to me as gifts. I use a ratty old quilt that was my Grandmother's as a tree skirt. ♥

  2. What beautiful ornaments; I've been looking, but haven't found any chicken ornaments yet. However, my husband ordered the rooster mobile from The Brandford Exchange for me, and so far I've received half of the beautiful roosters! Whoo Hoo!

  3. Oh, these are lovely Melissa! I love that style of ornament… I added a number of nautical themed ornaments last year just like yours, but I have to say, I didn't come across any chickens or bees! I must have a few for the cottage hens!
    Thanks for sharing!!!
