Noel Lettered Wreath Craft

I love Christmas time. It’s one of my favorite times of the year for crafting too. Every year I make wreaths. This year, I wanted one of the wreaths to showcase the beauty of a simple and peaceful Christmas. So I featured a little tin church, some decorative sprigs as well as the Star of Bethlehem. I combined some off the shelf letters and a simple grapevine wreath as a jumping off point. The rest just seemed to come together for this lettered wreath with a little bit of inspiration from the Christmas season displays in town.

DIY: Cinderella Succulent Topped Pumpkins

Last fall, I created the most fantastic succulent topped pumpkin for HGTV Gardens. It was so much fun and I loved seeing how it all came together so easily. This month I’ll be at the Country Living Fair doing a live demonstration on Saturday afternoon to share how simple and easy it is for you to create succulent topped pumpkins at home. I love creating each and everyone. No two succulent topped pumpkins are ever alike.

DIY: Airplant Living Wreath

I love air plants. Next to succulents, I would have to say that they are another addiction. I tend to hoard them and tuck them in the most unexpected places around my home- small candle dishes, empty tin tea canisters, mason jars, upside down sea urchin shells, even hanging from my kitchen window. I think I love them because they are nearly impossible to kill. Simply mist them with water once a week and keep them out of direct sunlight. They will happily grow and bloom for you without the need for soil. Today, I wanted to share with you this airplant wreath.

A Giving Tree

This week, I am sharing a Giving Tree that I created for HGTV Gardens. The Giving Tree can be placed practically anywhere in your home. The tree starts out empty of leaves. Over time, family and visitors can add leaves to the tree by adding messages of thanks and giving to paper leaves and then hanging them on the tree. We are starting a new tradition in our house by adding this tree to our Thanksgiving table. I am looking forward to seeing what my guest, family and children write on the leaves. I’m also going to save the leaves from year to year. It will be a wonderful way to reflect on special memories made around the table.
