Apparently one of the hottest topics for January is weddings. So I was off on assignment again for HGTV Gardens to create wedding bouquets. I have always had a love for growing, picking, and arranging fresh cut flowers, so writing a DIY wedding bouquet post was something that I was thrilled about sharing. It’s not difficult actually and can save you hundreds of dollars on your big day. Believe it or not, Trader Joe’s has one of the best floral departments. In fact, all of these flowers that I incorporated into this very bouquet came from there. Another favorite place of mine for fresh flowers is the farmer’s market.Don’t feel as though you always need to pay higher prices of florists.
In the post I shared how to arrange the flowers and wrap them with ribbon and pearl floral pins. You can skip this step and add the flowers to a vase if there is no wedding.
Transport your bouquets in mason jars. They travel well and will keep your flowers fresh before and after the ceremony. Head here to read my full DIY bridal bouquet tutorial.
